Leigh Sawyer began telling stories to her sisters in childhood and never stopped, receiving awards for writings throughout her education, as well as placing in the Oklahoma Writers' Federation, Inc, contest, the Tulsa City County Library Writing Contest, and the Tulsa Community College's Poetry Contest.
She lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Muscogee Creek land, alongside her menagerie of animals. She received an Associates of Liberal Arts and an Associates of Arts in English from Tulsa Community College in 2026 and writes queer, eco-horror novels for young adults.
